How Did It Begin? 

The journey of Happilo started in 2016 when Vikas Nahar, founder of the company, decided to come up with a healthy way of eating snacks that people could munch on in their spare time. Evening snacking is an effective way to fit extra nutrients into your diet and can prevent you from overeating during dinner time. But, many people can go wrong with evening snacking, therefore it is important to choose healthy diet options to stay fit.

Happilo’s path to success, like any other business, was fraught with challenges. Vikas had to overcome these obstacles while looking for investors at the beginning of the company. According to some media reports, Nahar founded Happilo with government assistance and a mere Rs.10,000 investment. 

Vikas wanted to create the kind of products that would include dry fruits, nuts, and roasted snacks that would add nutritional value to everyone’s diet, regardless of age. Therefore, he launched “Trail Mix”, a product consisting of various nuts and seeds in one packet. Apparently, the product was an instant hit in the market, and the company has not stopped growing since then. 

Success Of Happilo

There are many companies in the world that aim to reach the pinnacle of success but only a few of them stand the test of time, and Happilo is one of those companies which has outdone itself. Within a few years of its inception, the company has grown on to become one of the top providers of healthy snacks in our country. By offering superior quality at lower prices, the company kept its marketing game strong. 

As of March 2023, Happilo has raised $38.7 million and has a diverse distribution network in India with over 200 channel partners.In addition to this, the company has also expanded its online business by teaming up with top eCommerce giants including Flipkart,  Amazon, BigBasket, JioMart, and more. In fact, about 70% of Happilo’s sales come from online business operations. By selling a variety of exotic products and local nuts, the company generates an average monthly revenue of Rs. 40 crores (approximately Rs 500 crore annually).
